Health AnalysisAt Middletown Wellness Center, our approach to improved health and wellness starts with some of the newest analysis techniques. We usually start with Nutrition Response Testing, which involves testing the body's own neurological reflexes and acupuncutre points. Next, we use a revolutionary new tool, NervExpress, to assess the functioning of your Autonomic Nervous System. Based on our findings, a nutrional treatment plan is then taylored to your individual needs. Additional Health Center Treatments that may be part of your program are listed below. |

Hot Stone Massage is used to increase local blood flow, accelerate elimination of metabolic waste products, reduce spasticity and assess muscle tone. Myofascial Release is soft tissue mobilization, used to reduce "trigger points" (TrP) in muscle and fascia by using ischemic compression and other techniques. The TrP is a painful band or "knot" in a muscle, formed by injury or by repetitive trauma. |

This treatment involves the use of Light Therapy with the use of a “Cold Laser”. The sessions usually last about 4 minutes ( 2-6 sessions). As I learned and proved repeatedly in my practice, scars - primarily on the surface of the skin -from past injuries or surgeries, have consistently been found to cause hidden disturbances to the normal functioning of the body. Whether these are close to the organ in trouble, or even distant (as in a knee scar connected to a frozen shoulder), these need to be properly and thoroughly handled whenever they show up in our system of testing in order to attain optimal results. Scientific research has demonstrated that any area of the skin that heals by scar formation has increased sympathetic nerve innervation. These scars can sometimes suddenly "activate" (even years after they were caused) and act as capacitors which accumulate nerve energy, and which can then mis¬fire at will, affecting local areas or ganglia which can then affect other areas away from the scar site. |
